Sunday morning David and Victoria Beckham welcome their new baby girl, Harper Seven. It’s not very surprising that the couple chose such an unusual name for their daughter, it seems to be the trend in Hollywood these days; however, David and Victoria explain there is meaning behind it.
So where exactly does the name come from? According to People.com, Harper is an old English name that Victoria has always loved, and seven is considered a lucky, spiritual number. Not only that, but Harper Seven was also born weighing 7 lbs. (and 10 oz.) in the seventh hour in the seventh month – of the seventh day of the week. And who can argue with the number being lucky when seven was David’s jersey number while he played for Manchester United and the English national team. If lucky number seven could bring on that kind of success, well I would probably name my kid Seven too!
How do you feel about the baby girl’s name? Do you love it, or do you think it’s just plain bizarre? Tell us what you think – we’d love to hear from you!
