| Over the knee boots can work well for a casual weekend, especially when worn with comfy leggings. | Pairing OTK boots with leggings and a flirty shirt creates the perfect outfit for a night on the town. I would recommend finding a pair with a sexy high heel. | Wearing over-the-knee boots to an outdoor event can be tricky, although the added height can help warm you up as temperatures dip. For best results, stick to a wedge or flat heel. | |
| If your weekend plans call for running errands, a wedge boot is a decent choice. This heel type is easier to walk in than stilettos and other thinner heels. | Wedge boots are a great choice for date night. If you’re looking for something special, try a pair with a buckle embellishment. | Although not ideal, this heel choice is better than others – at least it won’t cause you to sink into the ground the way stilettos can! | |
| Ankle boots are perfect for the casual winter weekend. Try some in suede or distressed leather for a cool, classic look. For those days of bumming around inside, ankle boots work well. Best in Brown or Black. | A nice pair of black ankle boots look great for an evening out in the winter time. As long as there isn’t a lot of walking around you’ll be alright. | Boots work great for winter outdoor activities. When the weather gets cold you want to keep those feet warm. Ankle boots can keep you warm enough for short-term events outside. | |
| Slouch boots are the perfect choice for a casual weekend. I would recommend a flat heeled, knee high pair in suede – goes well with nearly any outfit and oh-so comfortable! | Details matter when transitioning this look to a night on the town. Look for slouchy boots dressed up with a higher heel, buckles, buttons, studs or other embellishments. | Be careful when wearing a slouch boot to an outdoor event, especially if your feet might get wet. Leather holds up better outside than untreated suede. | |
| Head down to your local mall and you’ll see military-inspired fashion everywhere. The style is tailored for casual weekends for hanging out with good friends and family. | There are some military styles that will work for a nice evening out at a nice restaurant, but be careful. You don’t want to look too much like a soldier in the field while sipping your soup. | For those chilly winter nights you’ll need to keep warm. Military styles have taken over most casual coats and jackets this season. You’ll looking styling in your military-inspired parka. | |
| Purple is a popular color rolling into the fall and winter seasons. A fun pair of puddle boots or even a comfy pair of slippers with a little fun tinge of purple will add some color and spice to your wardrobe this winter. | Purple has been popular in dress styles and the trend continues into the fall and winter 2010 seasons. Purple sets the mood for an evening out on the town for a big date or an evening out with the girls. | There are a few boots out there for chilly outdoor events. Be sure to find some with some extra warmth to keep those feet warm. A little purple accent can make a style stand out just enough if that’s your style. | |
| A definite yes! This color is everywhere right now. From gray athletic shoes to a grey flat, you’re bound to find something perfect for a lazy Saturday. | Grey continues to be a go-to color this season. As a near neutral, this hue works well for anything from a fun filled girls’ night to a romantic evening with someone special. | Grey is a great color choice for an outdoor event – in fact the darker the better! This will help camouflage any potential grass stains or mud spots. | |
| Turquoise Shoes | Athletic styles are hitting the street that include a little turquoise. They can work nice for casual weekends bumming around or hanging out at the mall to avoid the chilly weather. | It’ll be tough to find some turquoise styles for an evening out on the town, but it’s possible. It’ll add a little color and get attention if that is what you’re looking for. | We’re only seeing a few boots for outdoor events that have turquoise. If you can find them you’ll fit right in with the new trend at your local football game or Christmas parade. |
