The Shoe Diaries | Celebrity Shoes for Less!

I love reading – news, magazines, books – it doesn’t matter. So when my co-workers were talking about starting a book club last winter, I was all in. I had never been involved in one before and it sounded like a lot of fun! So far we’ve read our way through some diverse books, with meetings focused around food and fun. We’ve taken a more laidback approach this summer, choosing book/movie combos and holding our meetings at the local movie theater. Yesterday was our August get-together. Last Fall, we definitely saw some over-the-knee boots show up here and there in the fashion world, but not as much as we are seeing this year. It seems they are everywhere you turn. Ladies love boots, but the over-the-knee boots are special. They are something new, and tend to stand out in crowds, and as an added bonus… they can actually accentuate your legs[ . . . ]

After a pretty big upset last week on American Idol with Katie Stevens going home along with Andrew Garcia, American Idol fans are anxiously awaiting tonight’s performances from the top 7 contestants. Also this week will be the top 7 results, and Idol Gives Back 2010 that airs tomorrow night. See more details on this event near the bottom of this post.

I’m not going to lie – if the Packers aren’t in the Super Bowl, I only watch for the newest commercials. I love choosing a favorite from among the wacky, high-priced spots. I won’t turn down a good football feast either – bring on the chicken wings and chips! I can’t wait!
