Wedding season has just gotten underway, but our wedding shoe series is drawing to a close. Our final model is another ShoeMall employee – Rachel K. I was surprised how much the trailer to The Last Song caught my attention. I’ve seen Hannah Montana – I know Miley Cyrus is a decent Disney channel style actress. I just wasn’t expecting her to be very enticing in a more serious role. I may have been wrong – the movie actually looks really good! 

Not only is Miley looking to get into the movie business, but it sounds like she may be doing so at the expense of her current career. It’s no surprise that Hannah Montana is ending. There is only so long a show about a teenager can last! What is shocking is Miley’s claim that she is done making music as well. I can’t imagine this revelation will be entirely true, but she is definitely letting the world know she is ready to grow up!

Miley is pictured at the world premier of The Last Song with Liam Hemsworth – her boyfriend both in the movie and in real life. He may be new to show business, but I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of him in the near future. A Nicholas Sparks’ film and a famous significant other can do wonders for a Hollywood newcomer! The pairing actually reminds me (and others) a lot of Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosslin from The Notebook.

Every week I have a bunch of television shows that are automatically set-up to record on my DVR, and of course,  Oprah is one of them! This past weekend I had some time to catch up on some episodes and one that I especially liked featured Jessica Simpson and her new reality series that premiered last night, “Jessica Simpson’s The Price of Beauty” on VH1. I’ve always been a big fan of Jessica, her music, and of course… her shoes, but this side of her was intense and I think she is raising a great awareness for us to see what is happening out there in the real world.

On The Price of Beauty, Jessica, and her two best friends, Cacee Cobb and celebrity hairstylist Ken Paves, traveled to seven different nations to see what lengths women will go to in the name of beauty. It is heart wrenching at times to actually believe some cultures beliefs and the price people will actually pay to be beautiful in their own minds. If you missed the premiere last night you can watch the full epidsode, deleted scenes and bonus clips on VH1’s website. I find this piece fascinating and will be tuning in throughout the season, go ahead and check it out!

I was anxiously waiting to find out who would be dancing this season on Dancing With The Stars, and while I was watching the Bachelor last night, ABC revealed the full cast. I must admit there are some people I am dying to see out there on the dance floor and others I’m not quite sure what ABC was thinking… but I will keep my comments to myself this time and just opt to look at the shoes these stars tend to wear!

One star I can’t wait to see dance, recently from NBC’s The Sing-off, (pilot show that aired this past winter) Nicole Scherzinger, the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls. It’s been a crazy couple of months for the Kardashian family! First, big sister Kourtney surprised us all by announcing she’s having a baby this December. Not to be outdone, Khloe Kardashian followed this announcement with a quick romance leading to an even faster rush to the alter. After dating Lakers’ star Lamar Odom for about a month, the two will be tying the knot this Sunday.

As can be expected, not everyone believes this wedding is strictly about love. The rumors flying as the nuptials approach are varied. Some think the wedding is actually a cover for Kourtney and Scott’s ceremony. Some think the wedding is strictly a publicity stunt for Keeping up with the Kardashians and Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami. Some think the couple has found true love and doesn’t want to put off the inevitable. My personal favorite is the hybrid true love/publicity stunt theory. If you’re going to get married anyway, why not play it up for maximum exposure!

Regardless of the reasoning behind the madness, Khloe and Odom have already taken care of many of the mundane wedding details. The guest list has been ironed out and the registry created. The location has been selected and the ring picked up. They even held their bachelor/bachelorette parties last night.

I’m very impressed by this nineteen-year-old’s ability to handle such an extraordinary situation.  Her attitude and poise truly make her a great role model for other young people to look up to.  She went on to perform one of her hit songs, You Belong with Me, live on an NYC subway train and then the top of a cab.  Under normal circumstances, the performance would have been pretty amazing.  Knowing what she had been through only minutes before makes the whole thing even more incredible.

Taylor is pictured here in the dress she wore during her performance.  She exchanged the nude pumps she wore during her song for a pair of red high heels.  This is one instance where I love the complete color coordination of her outfit. Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher had a very interesting story to share with the world yesterday. According to People.com, the two were on a flight from Las Vegas to New York that ended up making an emergency landing soon after takeoff. Luckily, neither actor was injured. In fact, they both tweeted about the ordeal soon afterward!

Demi and Ashton are pictured at the event that brought them to Las Vegas to begin with – the premier of the movie Spread. Demi looks absolutely amazing in her one strap black dress – very classy and ridiculously toned. (It’s hard to believe that she is almost 47 years old!)
