Paul Gardner-Stephen from Australia seems to think so.According to SliceofScifi.com, he and a friend have created a working shoe phone based on the one used in Get Smart. It was created for use in a play, but received so much attention that Gardner-Stephen is thinking about setting up a website and selling them to the general public. (For those of you who are wondering – yes. You do actually have to take your shoe off and put the sole to your ear before using this phone.)

What do you think? Would this be something that people would actually use? Or have cell phones made this product unnecessary?

For the girl who loves shoes, but doesn’t need any additional pairs of her own, I present the perfect gift! Check out these chocolate pumps by Gayle’s Chocolates.These adorable confections come in multiple styles – just like your favorite pair of real shoes. I think it would be a cute gift by itself, or as a yummy ‘accessory’ for a new outfit. The only problem is, are they too gorgeous to actually eat? Not to me!

If anyone out there wants to send me one of these treats as a gift, I would prefer the pink shoe with dark accents! I promise to admire it for a full five minutes before eating.
