I don’t know why, but I was surprised to hear that Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green had gotten married a couple of weeks ago. It had just become public knowledge that she had received (and promptly lost) another engagement ring from Brian. I figured there would be the obligatory year long planning period before the wedding. Silly me – since when has Megan Fox been known as traditional?

That’s one of the things that most impresses me about her. She may be famous, but she seems to do what makes her happy. She doesn’t appear to worry a whole lot about what people think of her – and she tries to keep her personal life somewhat private. Unlike some celebrities, I haven’t seen many photographs of her out partying at the normal celebrity hot spots. In fact, she’s a bit of a self-proclaimed homebody – sort of like me!

I actually just got my first look at one of their wedding pictures. I love the aura of comfort and love that seems to radiate from their little family as they stand before the Hawaiian priest. (The little boy is Brian’s son from a previous relationship.) It’s truly one of the best celebrity wedding pictures I have seen. They look ridiculously content and I hope they stay that way for a long time to come!

Carlos by Carlos Santana Privilege Pump

Megan is picture above at the premier of her movie Jennifer’s Body. I really love her dress, and her shoes are super fun. I’m just not sold on whether I would wear the two together! If you envy her shoe look, I have a couple of great options for you that will give you the same look, but won’t cost you a fortune in the process.

First up is the Carlos by Carlos Santana Privilege Pump. This shoe will give you the same heel height Megan is sporting above. Luckily, it comes with a hidden one-inch platform to help you handle those added inches! The pattern and color palette are also similar to Megan’s shoes above.

BCBGeneration Ariel Pump

If you like the peep-toe look, the BCBGeneration Ariel Pump would be a good choice for you. It’s also a more toned down hue if you’re afraid to go for the yellow-gold look Megan selected for her movie premier. As a bonus, if you do want to pair gold shoes with a silvery dress this shoe might do the trick. There looks to be just enough of a silvery sheen in this gold tone to pull the double metallic look off!

Report Kennedy Pump

The last shoe is a personal favorite of mine. I bought the Report Kennedy Pump in black about a month ago, along with a half dozen or so of my co-workers! At 50% off, it’s a great deal. I can also honestly say they are the most comfortable pair of high heels I own. The wedge is amazing. I seriously feel like I’m wearing a pair of comfy, flat, sandals when I have these on. I can’t recommend them enough! This option would give you a golden peep-toe shoe in a similar height to Megan’s stilettos. (Sorry ladies, the black is no longer available!)

And if you’re wondering about that ring Megan lost? Don’t worry! The rumors were false, the ring was found or Brian presented her with a new bauble.  Whatever the story is, I think her finger is now sufficiently dressed!

I have no less than six weddings to go to so far this summer, by far the most I have ever had scheduled in the same year before! Somehow, I don’t think things will be slowing down for a couple of years – not that I’m complaining! I love everything about weddings – from the ceremony to the fashion to the food. Plus, it’s always fun to have an excuse to visit with friends and family that you otherwise don’t get to see very often.

 I’m lucky enough to be a bridesmaid in my friend Dana’s wedding this coming July. She is pictured here in her beautiful princess wedding dress at her final fitting last week. She has always been a fan of ballgown style wedding dresses. I’m glad she was able to find a dress, tiara and veil to help her feel like a princess on her big day! I couldn’t resist using this side view to show off her fun bustle. You can also take a look at the front of her dress to see some of the beading and trimming details.

Princess or Ballgown Wedding Dresses

If you’re looking for a princess style for your wedding as well, you’re certainly not alone! Ballgowns are one of the top trends for 2010 wedding dresses. One of the fun things about this style is that you can go all out with fun accessories or keep it simple and let the dress speak for itself. The same can be said for your shoe choices. Play up the details of the dress with shoes embellished with beading similar to your skirt. Or, stick with a plain pump and know that it will make your dress’s details stand out even more.

Unlisted With Charm Sandal

Our fashionista Pepsi selected three shoe styles she thinks will go well with ballgown or princess wedding dresses this summer. The first is the Unlisted With Charm Sandal. This is a style that will really keep the focus on your dress. Although this shoe is fairly simple, it does include a fun knotted detail – a nod to the nautical trend that is so big this summer. TIP: You never know how your feet will feel on your big day. Be sure to create a bride emergency kit that includes band aids for any unexpected blisters.

Rampage Frankie 9 Sandal

Your ring isn’t the only thing that’s gold! Pepsi’s next choice is the Rampage Frankie 9 Sandal. Metallics are hot this summer and this gold slide is sure to shine on your special day. It’s also a steal for only $39.95! If you have a colored sash on your dress, like Dana does, a metallic shoe in a similar hue will really help to pull that color out, bringing attention to those details on your dress that made you fall in love with it in the first place. Tip: Don’t forget to bring your wedding shoes or a pair with a similar heel height to your alteration appointment. You don’t want to have your dress altered for flats and end up with a four inch heel!

Pepsi’s last suggestion really shows that with a long dress you have the option to choose comfort! The Report Jem Flat will help to keep your wedded feet blissful all night long.  I think this pair of shoes would look super cute, especially if you’re planning to have red roses included in your flower scheme. I love the idea of matching your shoes to your wedding colors and adding a pop of excitement to your wedding wardrobe. Bonus: This pair of shoes will go well with a pair of jeans after the wedding. Whenever you wear them you’ll be reminded of your walk down the aisle!

One of my all-time favorite television shows is Friends. The name is very fitting – not only do you feel like you know the characters and are personally involved in their lives, but it’s the perfect show to watch with a group of girlfriends. I remember starting to get into the show in 6^th grade with my friend Jessica, and have fond memories of watching Friends with friends all the way up to the final season during my freshman year of college.

I think it’s this love of all things Friends related that has made me take such an interest in Jennifer Aniston. From 2005’s Rumor Has It to last year’s He’s Just Not That Into You, Jennifer hasn’t been out of the spotlight very much since the show’s end – and it doesn’t look like that is going to change anytime soon! She is starring in two movies in 2010 that look to be some of her best yet.

I’ve been seeing trailers for her current flick, The Bounty Hunter, all over the place. It looks like a pretty fun concept: Couple divorces. Boy becomes bounty hunter. Girl jumps bail. Ironically, boy must bring girl to jail. It should be pretty funny, and I’m going to guess that the exes get back together in the end.

Nina Galvey Sandal

Jennifer’s ex-husband is played by Gerard Butler. Although the two have denied it, there is speculation that the two have found love off-camera as well. They have been spotted out and about, including on a recent vacation in Mexico. Maybe Jen has finally found her match!

And speaking of matches, Jen seems to have found the perfect shoes for this beautiful off-the-shoulder gown. She looks gorgeous! All the hoping in the world couldn’t prevent the cancellation of Ugly Betty. I knew the show was in trouble, but hoped my favorite fictitious magazine wasn’t going anywhere. I figured the move to ABC’s Wednesday night comedy lineup would at least buy them some time, but in the end it barely bought two more months of episodes. After four seasons on the air, Ugly Betty will officially end this April.

I didn’t watch the show when it first came out, but over the past couple of seasons I’ve come to love the characters. Betty’s optimism, self-respect and compassion for others help to make her a wonderful role model for tween and teen girls – something that’s often missing in pop culture today. I enjoyed watching her fashion sense evolve, even while she stayed true to her own style (including hanging on to her ‘Betty necklace’). This is something that women of any age can learn from. There’s nothing better than taking a current trend you’re comfortable with and adding your own personal spin.

Born Peony Flat

As sad as I am to see the show end, I’m excited to see how the writers will close the series out. Will Betty’s fashion transformation continue? Will she finally be able to write about the important issues she thinks should be addressed in a national magazine? Will Hilda and Bobby‘s relationship last, or is he hiding a criminal secret? Will Amanda find a way to move up from the reception desk, following the example set by Marc in last week’s episode? I can’t wait to find out!

For a show about a fashion magazine, Betty sure seems to end up in some pretty crazy costumes. Wondering how I’m going to beautify the shoe choices in the photo above? I’m not! Sorry Betty – even we don’t know how to save elf shaped booties. One thing that did strike me about this shot, which comes from an episode of Ugly Betty this season, is the color scheme. Both Betty and Marc are wearing two of the colors released by Pantone as Spring 2010 fashion trends – Tomato Puree and Pink Champaign. Using these color trends in your footwear is a great way to incorporate them into your wardrobe. I really like the Born Peony Flat as a Tomato Puree option. What a week for Kourtney Kardashian! Her new show with sister Khloe, Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami, debuts on E! this Sunday. As if that weren’t enough, Kourtney had some excited news to share as well – she’s pregnant with her first child!

According to People.com, the baby will make its arrival towards the end of December. Although the pregnancy was a surprise for the actress, she’s excited to become a mother. For those of you who may be curious, the father is indeed Scott Disick. I wonder if another walk down the aisle is in the cards for these two. Those of you who watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians, may recall an almost-wedding between the two while visiting Las Vegas. I guess we’ll have to wait and see!

Nine West Fresh Look Sandal

Although the younger Kardashian sisters don’t get quite as much attention as their older siblings, they are well on their way to becoming just as glamorous as the famous trio. Kylie and Kendall attended last week’s Teen Choice Awards with Kim and Kourtney. I absolutely adore Kylie’s outfit for the event – perfection! I may have to look for something similar for myself…

 For those of you looking for a shoe similar to Kylie’s pick, take a look at the Nine West Fresh Look Sandal. The lower heel and slingback strap make this shoe a good choice for events that require lots of standing – or posing for the paparazzi!

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher had a very interesting story to share with the world yesterday. According to People.com, the two were on a flight from Las Vegas to New York that ended up making an emergency landing soon after takeoff. Luckily, neither actor was injured. In fact, they both tweeted about the ordeal soon afterward!

Demi and Ashton are pictured at the event that brought them to Las Vegas to begin with – the premier of the movie Spread. Demi looks absolutely amazing in her one strap black dress – very classy and ridiculously toned. (It’s hard to believe that she is almost 47 years old!)

Jessica Simpson Badoline

The flashy shoes she chose for the evening are perfect. They add a little something extra to her outfit without being over the top. Plus, the slight platform makes it easier to pull off such a high heel. The Jessica Simpson Badoline Pump is a good choice for anyone looking to copy this style for their own exciting night out. For all the fashionable men out there, a classic black slip-on is never the wrong choice.

I have to admit that ABC’s The Bachelorette is one of my favorite shows.  I love getting together with friends each week to watch the drama unfold.  This season was no exception, and truthfully included “the most dramatic rose ceremony EVER.”  (For those of you who don’t watch, this is something the host Chris Harrison seems to say every week!)

This season Jillian Harris chose IT consultant Ed as her perfect match.  I have to say Jillian had some of the best guys ever competing for her heart on the show.  It was hard for me to pick a favorite, and I usually have a strong opinion regarding who should ‘win.’

Report Women's Tayla Pump

Another topic I have a strong opinion about is Jillian’s outfit for her appearance at the Los Angeles premier of The Proposal. I usually love mixing bold, bright colors on the red carpet but Jillian took this style a little too far.  She included one too many hues in this outfit.  Between the lime green dress, brown belt, metallic purse and yellow shoes something has to go!

One option would have been to swap out the yellow shoes for another color.  A brown pump would have been a great choice.  Since her belt is also brown, this would have really pulled the outfit together.  My choice would be the Report Women’s Tayla Pump – classic and beautiful.  Jillian normally seems to have a wonderful style sense – I’m sure this is a mistake that won’t be repeated!
