Allan and Silvana Clark began their Soles4Souls RV journey back in March 2009. In traveling across the country, they stop in cities just like ours meeting people who support S4S. In the beginning of their journey their hope was that this tour would raise an awareness of the number of people around the world that need shoes. They also want to show people how they can make a difference in the world by donating their gently used shoes. According to the official Soles4Souls website, Soles4Souls is a Nashville-based charity that collects shoes from the warehouses of footwear companies and the closets of people like you. The charity distributes these shoes free of charge to people in need, regardless of race, religion, class, or any other criteria. ShoeMall.com, a division of Mason Companies, Inc, is proud to contribute over 1,000 shoes and related accessories to Soles4Soles in support of survivors of the recent Haitian earthquake.  Along with ShoeMall, many celebrities are stepping up to help out. Celebrities John Travolta, Wyclef Jean, Nicole Richie, Matt Damon, George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have already contributed, and many more continue to do so as well. Soles4Soles is an organization that facilitates the donations of shoes, which are used to aid people in need worldwide.                                     Soles4Souls is coordinating a nation-wide campaign to provide one million pairs of new boots and shoes to help the survivors of the Haitian earthquake. In other news, she ‘has been encouraging people to donate their old worn shoes for the Second Annual Barefoot Week. The actress has already donated 2000 pairs of shoes from her Reebok line to Soles4Souls, an organization that gives away a pair of shoes every 13 seconds to people in need. “If you can’t dig deep in your pockets, then dig in your closet,” said the 24-year-old star. Souls4Soles distributes free shoes in more than 125 countries.
