Fashion Trend Predictions for 2010

Posted: January 4, 2010 at 3:49 pm by Andrea

Other people have already done a lot of the work and made predictions on fashion and trends for 2010, here are their takes on it all:

1) The Budget Babe has some pretty good predictions for 2010, and two that I especially like are: Isaac returning to Target and mobile coupons catching on with new apps in a “big, big way”.

2) Fashionising.com talks about Spring and Summer Fashion Trends, and who doesn’t want to think about all the beautiful warm weather wear during this cold month?!

3) Splendicity.com has compiled Esquire’s 2010 Style Resolutions for the men in your life, there are some pretty good tips here!

4) Find the colors of Spring/Summer 2010 at FashionTrendsetter.com What are your favorites? I really like the salmon pinks, turquoises and purples! Very pretty!

…and last but not least

5) Refinery29.com brings all their knowledge with their predictions of style and trends into 2010 from the color turquoise (I said I liked it above, maybe I am headed in the right direction!) to long skirts, sheer shirts, clogs, and lower heels! Read along… there is plenty to talk about in this post!

‘Getty Up for Fall 2009

Boots, Boots, Boots!

Whether you want to look like an urban cowgirl or biker babe, fall 2009 is definitely the year of the boot! The best thing about this years boot trend is that it is covering so much ground.

Western has completely exploded this fall with full perforated and classic stitch detail to the plaid shirts with snap buttons. Time for Brittany (Spears) to haul hers out of the closet…AGAIN! I though she would never take hers off in 2007 — maybe she was just ahead of all of us from the start!

Granny boots have hit the scene with corset lacing and surprising detail like peep toes and ruffles.

The sassiest boot look to come back by far is the over the knee tall boots. Think of the movie Pretty Women, but you won’t have to color in the heels with a black marker on these. Dress it up or down with your favorite tunic and leggings, from suede to leather, high heel or flat, this is a boot trend to design your outfit around. Khloe Kardashian knows how to rock the thigh highs in this simple yet feisty look!

Last but not least, if you want to look like you are riding a horse or a Harley, flat boots are a hit. We all want to look fashionable but not pay the price with swollen, sore feet. Three cheers for riding and motorcycle boots!

Basic harness boots are back and the riding boot will always be in classic style. Tuck them into skinny jeans or get a little edgy and pair them with a cotton dress and tights.

all you Fall 2009 Fashion & Beauty

The Fall 2009 special Fashion & Beauty issue of all you magazine came out with lots of great “Look and Feel Your Best for less” tips, and ShoeMall was included on several pages.

Bandolino Shuga

Bandolino Shuga

On pages 16 and 17 you will find the Easy Street Hello for $44.95 and the Madeline Yazz for $19.99. These metallics will go with everything this season from a skirt to dress pants or even jeans.

You will find the Bandolino Shuga for $39.99 on page 34. With a heel height like this you might be asking yourself if you could even wear these or if they would even be comfortable or not. One glance at this shoe’s reviews, and you will quickly see how satisfied these happy shoe owners are!

Moda Spana Oblique

Moda Spana Oblique

One of my absolute favorites is the Moda Spana Oblique found on page 36 for $39.99. This color is going to be at the top of the list this season!

On page 38 you will also find a ShoeMall shoe, the Naturalizer Whistler for $69.95. It is hard to go wrong with Naturalizer shoes because they are such a trusted brand, and have definitely taken trend up a notch the last couple seasons.

That’s all for this issue, and many more to come! Which one is your favorite? I’ve already told you mine!
